Bowen Technique

I've never resonated with painful massage or forceful cracking and clicking so when I found Bowen Technique, which is so gentle that even babies and the elderly can receive it, I was intrigued.

What sets Bowen apart is that it asks the Therapist to apply minimum effort and to give the Client space and time for the appropriate response to take place.  This "less is more" attitude makes total sense to me. Forcing anything to happen is counterproductive.

What is Bowen?

Bowen Technique is a system of remedial bodywork where the Therapist applies gentle rolling techniques to various "stress-loading" points on the body and then leaves the room for a few minutes at a time in order to allow the Client's system a chance to react and respond in the way it sees fit.  It's really unlike any other therapy I've come across!

It's profoundly relaxing to receive which I believe helps the healing process enormously. Some clients feel a lot of sensations inside their bodies, others not so much.  But rest assured things ARE happening, and best of all things are  happening because YOUR body wants them to.

What can it help with?

I work with clients presenting with a variety of painful problems - jaw, neck, shoulder (including Frozen Shoulder), hip, back, sciatic pain - clients with carpel tunnel,  pelvic imbalances, migraines, digestive issues, the list goes on.

Sometimes clients discover the effectiveness of Bowen after exhausting other more known therapies.  I can't promise any outcome but I can promise I will do my very best to help you.

“You possess the ability to tap a bottomless well of physical and psychic energy.

With it, you can harness the magical power of the universe. Yet most of us unknowingly block the flow of this power, and live out our lives not reaching the potential that we could achieve if we only knew how.”
