Therapeutic bodywork in Brighton & Hove. Blending science, intuition & deep listening

Welcome!

I'm Alison

For over 15 years, I’ve been helping clients find relief from pain and rediscover ease and flow in their bodies.

I blend clinical expertise with energetic awareness to create treatments that are both functional and deeply nurturing.

Every session is unique — guided by intuition, experience, and what your body is ready for in the moment.

Holistic, Deep Tissue and Remedial Massage

What you tell me, what I see, what I feel from your body and what comes intuitively in the moment all play a part in how your treatment unfolds.

We can focus on:

  • calming your nervous system,

  • providing you with a safe space to release anxiety and de-stress

  • relieving tightness and discomfort in your muscles,

  • helping you to recover from a specific injury,

  • solving pain issues anywhere in your body,

  • improving limited mobility in your joints,

  • rebalancing your energy

One thing that’s always consistent in every treatment is that you will leave feeling calmer, more relaxed, more spacious, more yourself.

Shiatsu

Shiatsu is a Japanese bodywork therapy that works with acupressure points, gentle stretches, and rhythmic pressure to support the body’s natural energy flow. Shiatsu is done fully clothed (there’s no oil involved) and is especially effective for stress, fatigue, and chronic tension. It helps restore balance and leaves you feeling calm, centered, and revitalized.

Bowen Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that uses subtle rolling movements over muscles, tendons, and fascia to stimulate the body’s natural healing response.

It’s deeply relaxing and can help relieve pain, improve mobility, and support overall wellbeing.

Suitable for all ages, it encourages the body to reset and restore balance.

It’s especially helpful if you’re dealing with long-term pain or find other treatments too intense.

Kinesiology is a gentle yet powerful modality that uses muscle testing to access the body’s inner wisdom and identify imbalances—whether physical, emotional, nutritional, or energetic.

By working with the body’s natural feedback system, kinesiology helps uncover the root causes of stress or discomfort and supports your system in restoring balance.

Each session is unique and can include techniques such as acupressure, emotional clearing, nutritional support, or energy work to help you feel more aligned, resilient, and restore wellness.

Massage Therapist Shiatsu Practitioner Bowen Therapist Yoga Teacher Functional Kinesiologist

As you can tell from my long list of modalities; I love bodywork!

I’ve had careers in the British Government and in Television, but a seemingly random decision to do a massage course whilst travelling in Guatemala in 2009 changed my life.

I’ve always loved to move my body - a lot of my childhood was spent upside down! Mainly doing gymnastics, though really I had a deep desire to be a dancer. In my 20s I began exploring a spiritual path, and that’s very much stayed with me (tho admittedly it took a backseat during my TV years!)

Discovering yoga back in 2008 made me come back to myself. That commitment to stay connected, do the inner work, study and explore is fundamental to me, who I am, how I choose to live; consciously, mindfully, with purpose. But also staying curious and playful (I’m pretty proud to say here I am in my 50s still able to pull off a pretty impressive handstand!)

Being a Bodywork Therapist feels totally aligned with who I am, what I’m here to do. And I believe you can feel that when you receive a treatment from me.
